Dr. Jordana Phillips
Dr. Phillips has practiced breast imaging for 14 years and is a nationally recognized expert on contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM). She has led multiple research trials, written papers, and spoken internationally on CEM and has helped to push the technology into the mainstream of modern health care.
Most recently, Dr. Phillips served as Division Chief of Breast Imaging at Boston Medical Center, where she first introduced CEM to its clinical operations. Prior to that, she spearheaded the implementation of CEM at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), making BIDMC the first site in New England to use the technology.
Originally from Long Island, New York, Dr. Phillips completed her undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire where she majored in political science. She then returned to New York to complete her medical school training at the State University of Buffalo and her radiology residency at Mount Sinai West in Manhattan. She then moved to Boston to complete her breast imaging fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC).
Dr. Phillips now joins Dr. Levin at BBDC to continue to provide the highest quality of care to the women of the region. She maintains her affiliation with Boston Medical Center where she will continue her research and educational pursuits as an Associate Professor of Radiology.
Dr. Phillips is fellow of the Society of Breast Imaging where she is a member of the continuing education committee and the research and educational committee.
